In the early 1960s, when the trams disappeared from the depot and the railway track was dismantled, bus repair shops and warehouses were arranged in its buildings. At that time, the depot completely lost its importance. Later on, the historic facility served for many years as a go-karting motodrom, where Robert Kubica among others took his first steps. However, the facility was closed in 2007 due to the risk of collapse. In 2010 Hotele DeSilva Sp. z o.o. decided to take over the facility and since June 2012, Stara Zajezdnia Krakow by DeSilva has been operating in its current form as a gastronomic complex, connecting the main beer hall, a smaller “Tramwajowa Restaurant”, a mini brewery and a summer garden with deckchairs.

Depending on the demand, the hall is able to host up to 1,200 guests in the standing party formula, up to 1,000 at beer feasts, up to 650 at gala dinners at round tables or 400 at wedding receptions with a separate dance floor. The hall hosted various festivals and fairs (including wine festivals, whisky festivals, children’s, wedding, automotive, books fairs). In our history, we organized dozens of conferences, business breakfasts or computer hackathons. We also had official product premieres, including well-known car brands. We are also a leader in Krakow in terms of the number of pre-graduation balls organized.

Stara Zajezdnia Krakow by DeSilva is a commercial place, but in accordance with the policy of the Hotele De Silva company, we also take part in many charity campaigns and projects. We cooperate on a daily basis with such institutions and organizations as: Food Bank, Caritas of the Archdiocese of Krakow, SIEMACHA Association, Krakow Animal Care Society and Animal Shelter in Krakow.

On a daily basis, we also cooperate with the ICE Krakow Conference Center and the Krakow Festival Office.
